We're stilll narrowing down places to stay. I wanted to ask some veterans what they think would be the best place to stay with "niceness"of rooms, best boat slips and location to things on the water. Not too concerned with the resort amenities other than a pool and we can golf anywhere
We've got it narrowed down to 3:
Parkview Bay Condominiums (these are fairly new (FEB?))
Grand Glaize Resort
Tan Tar A

RonS from the board, his wife, Tracy and I are staying at the Parkviewbay Condos. Ron stayed there last year. Very nice place. Great docks for the boats.

Marky Mark, trust me, the no wake zone is a non-issue for those of us used to the Lake Michigan channels. It's about as long as the no wake zone in Holland, maybe not even that long. I know the LOTO regulars and locals think it's long, but to me it's just a short time to let the oil cool down!!! I'm used to Grand Haven, where it's 15 minutes or so from ramp to Lake, so the bridge no wake is a non-issue to me. And if I recall, it's only on weekends from 10:00 to ??:??. Don't remember the exact times, but it is posted on the big signs at either end. We even asked the marine patrol over Mem. Day if we could run thru the entire thing during the week and he said yes. I hope we were'nt misled. Perhaps someone can post better info.
