PIRATES OF LANIER POKER RUN 2014, JULY 17 - 20, (Official Thread)
CALLING ALL PIRATE SHIPS AND PERFORMANCE BOATS
The 6th Annual Pirates of Lanier Poker Run 2014 is in full swing. The count is approaching 50 entered boats as of March 2014 and by July 19 we will have 300 entries! Last year $230,000 dollars was raised making Pirates of Lanier the “Top charitable Fundraising Poker Run in America”, this year our goal is $400,000 to benefit Camp Sunshine, kids diagnosed with cancer and Boys and Girls Club of Hall County, helping thousands of “at risk” kids move toward a productive life.
We sincerely thank all of you who supported us in years past and those joining us for the first time this year. After you enter the Poker Run at:

You will receive a “Welcome Aboard” email with all the details of the run, trailer parking, boat ramps, hotel, fuel, etc…. No worries, we have enough floating slips to accommodate all. Lake Lanier is 45 minutes North of Atlanta.
Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier Islands Resort (770-945-8787) has our room block in place and reservations are being accepted. Mention Pirates of Lanier Poker Run for discount. Legacy Lodge had a price increase but we still pay less than the public and less expensive options will be listed on the “Welcome Aboard” email. Port Royale Marina has houseboats for rent:

Friday registration will be open from 12:00 Noon til 8:00 PM, at the Grand Hall Pavilion in Sunset Cove Parking lot to relieve any long lines before the Captain’s meeting.
More Pirate Girl dealers at the Casino Saturday night to relieve long lines.
NEW Lunch stop on Poker Run day, July 19th, at Fishtales Lakeside Grille!

Thanks Cashbar, after all the runs last year in salt water, it is such a joy at our fresh water lake to pull the boat out after a four day weekend and not even have to wash it! We are so blessed to have had such a great turnout last year, 276 boats, and not one incident. I thank all who attended and invite the rest to come be entertained at what we believe is one of the best venues in the country not mention the fact that you, your tow vehicle and your trailer will not step in, roll in or get any dirt or mud anywhere! It's all paved!
