Has anyone removed the silent thunder exhaust from a 97,98,99,01 or 02 35 or 38 ft. Fastek?

I'd like to remove it and just install tips in the transom..I already have silent choice. I'm just wondering what is involved..

John isn't that platform glassed into the boat? IE not a add on? I know with the older ones you could just unbolt them and you would be all set. Of course there is some filling and painting that would have to be done. On the new ones I would think it would be damn near impossible.

i thought that the underside of the swim platform was a bolt on peice. Maybe it's not anymore. i thought is was on the early 90's boats.

No problem, I took mine of a 312 Fastech. About 4 bolts as I recall. There is sticky sealer around the edge though, and it is heavy.
Sounds great with it off.

Hi celtic pride, i have a 2000 382 fastec, i'm looking for a silent thunder box and the stock thru transom tips, i have corsa ss mufflers i will be removing , if you still have it or might know someone that does i'd be interested in a trade or $. cheers mike ... in so. calif. 951-265-1863
