i couldnt believe it... picked up my toyota 22r engine from my local machine shop, and all four of the rods have teeth marks from the vise in them... how can they be that stupid... im just lucky they are for a 4 banger... thats why i need to go diesel or outboard down here. lol

torque the rod bolts....im not a pro but have alum, alum with rubber cushions, and lead inserts for my vise... these dudes down here are idiots when it comes to building engines...

they put my crank and main bearings in the block... i yanked out the crank found some metal shavings on the main cap shoulder next to the bearing... i even lent the moron a set of long brushes to ream and clean all the oil passages in the block... i dont even think they are equipped to set valve spring pressures down here..
