Lets see pictures and stories of the wild days 60 70 80's. Winter is almost over and almost time to become a Bilge Rat. Sad that this is all I have of my 80's days of racing. Always getting the boats ready and did'nt think of preserving the past to show my kids. I always remember walking into my first GLOPRA meeting at age nineteen and feeling out of place. And the first time I pulled into the pits with matching semi and brand new hydraulic trailer and the only thing on my mind was if the port engine was going to overheat. I use to think about the next race so much that when it was race day I was so tired I could not enjoy it. Another good one was going around for an extra lap and the finish line boat waving me in because the race was over and I thought they where telling me to hurry up because I was in the lead. We forgot to pull a lap tape from the dash! This is why pictures are great to look at because my memory's are becoming distant. I was lucky to grow up around Eastlake Ohio's Fathers of the sport and their racing machines. RASCAL, Feel The Rush, Let It Roll, Golden Eagle/Trash Can, LA Women, Interstate, Spirit Of America, Sorcerer and the others I have missed or forgotten. It's not over yet!
