Default Hp500 efi fuel filter help

Is there a good place to buy the fuel filter up on the back of the engine? Part# 35-807174t. I don't really want to shell out the big bucks for a merc unit. There has to be someone that makes one that will work. Thanks

Nope. I just went through this and bought / ordered a bunch of filters. It looks just like a standard GM filter, but the flare is different.

I had a HELL of a time getting one of the new ones to seal. Ended up using some valve grinding compound in the seat area and snugged the fitting, then twisted the filter a few times to seat it to the line. Cleaned it all up and so far so good.

Ended up buying mine from a retailer on eBay...
