NEW YEAR, NEW NAME, SAME MISSION.
The2013 Offshore Powerboat Association World Champions, Smith Brothers Offshore Racing Team, announced today its season long program for the Offshore Powerboat Association sanctioned Offshore Racing Series.
2014 brings some changes to the Smith Brothers Offshore Racing Team. The boat will be sporting a new name, Smith Brothers/CRC 611, for the upcoming Offshore Powerboat Association season. The team will run the entire OPA schedule in pursuit of their second class championship. The roster remains intact for 2014 with driver Pete Smith and throttleman Rich Smith piloting the boat, while engine builder and crew chief Bud Wilson returns in his 24 year with the team. Dennis Garehan and Owen Smith round out the the crew.
NOTES OF INTEREST:
CRC Industries returns as the official chemical supplier. From boat wax, bilge cleaner, penetrants and everything in between, CRC has everything needed in marine maintenance. This is the third year CRC has been an official supplier to the team.
The Smith Brothers/CRC 611 team will again be supported by Marren Fuel Injection.
