Default I'm sorry I haven't know Allan Brown

I have a stack of old Hot Boat and Powerboat magazines neatly stacked near the throne in my throne room. (Translated: my wife has relegated me to the basement john). I cycle through these publications once every 3 or 4 months and each time I come to an article written by Allan Brown I reread it with the same gusto as the other 25 times I read it. The things he has been involved in and done are other worldly. As they say, "You can't make this stuff up".

This begs the question, when are we going to get a good go fast "on paper" publication and wonder what Allan is doing? He is one of the great characters in boating. Quent

quite possibly one of the most entertaining members on here, love reading his recollections of "back in the day" one that stands out in memory is the story of the Fayva crash and why boats should be built of materials having specific gravities of +1

Funny... I was telling a Guy at work today about switching Cougars from wood to Aluminum so after they wrecked them at least they would sink and we wouldn't be fined or have to clean up the Beach.. ( A Quote from Brownie )

It was at that point that we decided to only build raceboats out of materials with a specific gravity of 1+, so that at least, it would have the courtesy to sink.
