Bell housing hinge pins don't fit

Bell housing hinge pins don't fit
I went to put the bell housing on transom assembly and the hinge pins don't fit in .was a new to me assembly was told it was 2008 , does any one know if the pins are a different size or is this china junk ? Pins I got measure 7/8 across hole is 3/4 , if wrong pins anyone got a part number ? Thanks
