I just got to McHenry from Northern Indiana -- THIS IS A MESS!!!! Somebody didn't get the memo on that global warming stuff-- I too was out at our summer place Saturday - turned the water on, got the patio furniture out and now this. URGH

Three inches north of Detroit last night. Yesterday was near 70 and I was doing yard work without a shirt. The madness isn't over! The Great Lakes are opening up though and the inland lakes are open.

It's official, we broke the all time seasonal snow record in metro Detroit going back to the 1800s!

DETROIT (WJBK) -- A spring storm that's left roads slippery across Michigan has shattered Detroit's seasonal snowfall record.

"The National Weather Service says that as of Tuesday morning Detroit Metropolitan Airport saw 3.1 inches of fresh snow, pushing the seasonal total to 94.8 inches. That exceeded the previous seasonal record for Detroit of 93.6 inches that was set in the winter of 1880-81."

Ok so since spring is so late getting here, I guess I better call my winter storage guy to move my incoming storage date to Nov 1st instead since our summer will be later right ??? Aaaaaa No !!!!

First year back on the water since 2010 and Mother Nature is going to make me wait a little longer. I
Bet the end of August the water temp will still be 60*
Guess it's good for the lake.
