Default Old style Merc External Steering Measurements from 1980s Cigarette or Formula

Would anyone happen to know of a 1980s Cigarette or Formula with the old style Merc external steering rams/brackets bolted between the TRS drives.
I would like to install the same on my 1989 Formula 311 between the TRS drives with 34.5" centres but would like the correct measurement from the side of the gimble housing to the side of the transom bracket.
Even if any one has seen a Cig or Formula sitting around Pt Huron, Lake St Clair, Detroit areas with this style of Merc external steering and could give me a location , then I could go take the measurements as I live near Pt Huron.
Thanks in advance and think spring.
