Default Carrera 30

Did the 30 footer every have a staggered engine set up ? If not, why not or if so, how well did it run compared to side by side motors. Also have to ask since the Cobalt 30 is the same hull from the Carrera mold, did Cobalt ever set up a staggered engine set up ? THX

Hello Bup

The only Staggered 30 (9M) Carreras that I remember were the race boat set up and they were pretty much raced by Humberto Picon and his Team . Am sure there are several people on the site that will step up and speak about the Carrera 30s , I believe that the Cobalt was a full out pleasure boat and not into doing a race set up

Thank you
jim

Jim thanks for the reply. I am looking for info on this because I have a 30 ft Cobalt. My thinking here was, I would have better luck posting under Carrera rather than Cobalt. Not many performance Cobalts running around plus I have never seen or heard of a staggered engine set up in a Cobalt. for real world results.

Good Luck, As I said, the only Staggered SS9M that i have seen were just race set up back in the 70s/80s.

Thank you
Jim

only staggered ones I know of are the race boats,,
two of the 30 race boats I know are still in Puerto Rico,,dont know if they are still racing them..
With only 30ft the staggered ones have no back seat,so no one really ordered them that way
for pleasure use..
