I am wanting to replace my fuel pumps on my HP500's with the stock Mercury Pump 861677T but when looking on-line at pictures of them they do not appear to be indexed properly. These are the style that are driven from the sea water pump etc. Has anyone else ran into this and if so do you just re index the pump by removing the phillips head screws? I really don't want to run new fuel lines etc. Thanks!

I'm confused? Why don't you just run with what came on the boat? Or are you saying someone reindexed them when they rigged the boat?
Also, don't trust the pics online, trust the part number. Many of the "stock" photos are wrong.

The pic looks like the old block mounted pumps, but yes, you have the right fuel pump part#.
If you need to reindex for some reason, you can unscrew it. Done this with the CP/Eickert high volume upgrade for non-OE big blocks.

Sorry for the confusion....but if the pump is built as the pictures show it would have to be re indexed to reuse the original fuel lines etc. Thanks SB....I will just index them as needed before the install.
