Default Kevin – Tug It – You have a problem?

Morons??????

Is this the impression my family leaves you with? That we are a bunch of Morons?

Let me tell you about the impression that you leave with us when your traveling circus comes to town.

Solomons Maryland 2012 Smitty told everybody at the driver’s meeting big boats stay to the outside. We cut a turn close to the pin and you find a way to pass us on the inside and wash us down. I thought we were supposed to follow the rules but I guess we are still new to racing. Thanks for the education.

Atlantic City 2013 my son Josh parks one of our dirt bikes next to the boat trailer and my other son Eric knocked it down when he moved the car. Instead of telling him to look out, you thought it would be more appropriate to laugh at my kids and call them A*S H*LES.

Solomon’s Maryland 2013 my wife and 11-year-old son were walking through the lobby at the hotel, and you and your team were hanging out completely drunk and talking loudly about BL*W J*BS. Instead of toning it down while you were watching them pass, you and your teammates thought it would be more appropriate to turn up the volume.

After that race one of your Tug It stickers were still on our car, unknown to us, and made it all the way back to New York to my impound yard. One of my employees saw the sticker and asked my son Eric, “what’s Tug It”? Eric referred to you guys as one of the teams that we race with. It takes a lot of courage for this kid to speak that way knowing you just called him an A*S H*LE in Atlantic City.

My children know if you don’t have something nice to say about someone, then don’t say it at all. They also know that when it comes to respect you have to give some before you get some. I don’t think anybody from OPA has ever heard my kids talking disrespectfully.

I was upset to find out you will also be racing Class 7. I was hoping that you would join Class 6. I’m looking forward for the day when we can race against each other. Then I will see if there is any lightning behind all that thunder that comes out of your mouth.

For this coming season I need you to do a few things for me.
1. “GROW A PAIR”
2. Spare the women and children your bravery
3. If you have anything to say to me, man up, and tell it to me without an audience. It’s embarrassing when people read this stuff and giggle at you.

There will be no fighting, yelling or any bull$hit at our race sites, we are a Family driven association so at the first race that you are all present WE will have a sit down and work this out. Way to many people break their backs to give you all great race sites with almost no money outta your pockets to OPA to race and we're not gonna have fighting at the sites or on a public forum with the OPA/Jersey Boyz name, THINK, EVERYONE can READ what you guy's are saying, NOT GOOD FOR SPONSORS, WOMEN AND CHILDREN. I'm not taking sides here but we will resolve this problem. Thank You, Augie

I just want to clarify one part of your statement.

I believe I was driving Kevin's boat in Solomons in 2012, So I want to shed some light to maybe the turn you are speaking about. SVL like most of the classes in OPA is extremely competitive and tight. When we are coming up on slower traffic there is a split decision that must be made whether to go outside or inside. I will always go to the inside if IMO I think we can make the turn. When a boat is behind the field like you were here is something to consider, be aware of your surroundings, since you guys are in an open cockpit you have much more visibility than closed cockpit boats. When a faster class is about to overtake you be aware the front boats are racing hard and are more apt to be aggressive in their lines. If you have a navigator it might be something he might want to be aware of. Just some food for thought, but as to Kevin he throttles and does it extremely well but I take full responsibility for steering Tug it!

Hope to see you guys on the water!

Hey Jeff, If you have a problem with me call: 410-355-7626. I agree with Augie and said the same thing to Johnny when he went off on the same comment. If you have a problem call me directly, I am THE LAST person to hide behind a computer. Sorry if anyone gets offended by something that I or my teammates did or do at a race site. But if you really know me, you would know that I am not the type of person to go out of my way to upset somebody or do anything detrimental to this sport. Again, you have my number.
