Default headers/tailpipes not aligned

I just replaced my headers and switched to dry tail pipes w/ same brand(CMI's). Now the tail pipes seem to be way off as they go thru the transom. The center two tails are 3/4" off. Looks like crap. My mechanic blames CMI. Never seen it before, what could it be?

Upload the pic/pics to a site like photobucket.com

After its there, go to your library and hover over the picture and click the gear, then click get links, and copy the IMG link and then paste that IMG link in a post on here.

Take pics & email them to [email protected] then call him. they can fix the tails. the angle on the header flange could be a little off, causing the angle of the tail to be off. they can adjust the tail to make it right

I would think CMI would be on the hook for the repair since there brand new. Also for the added labor incurred. Thanks.

That could be a stretch. Did you send them your old ones to match? Were the ones you replaced custom fit to begin with? Is it off up and down or side to side? Hopefully up and down and a simple wedge can be used.

After spending over $8k for new e-tops and tailpipes they better be right. Doubt they will cover the labor tho. Had e-tops before, just replaced them and swithed to dry tailpipes

If they are new, and they sold you headers & tails, they will fix them. As I said take pics and talk to David Rank at CMI... he will take care of you.
