Hi, I'm looking for someone (other than myself) who's into old fiberglass boats in Florida, say from Stuart to Miami, to try some compounding formulas I'm developing.
I'll give it to you for free, and will guide you through doing it with advice on pads and machines, etc. Duller the better. My Apache was sitting for 10 years in Tennessee before I bought it- gelcoat was like sandpaper.
I did my 1988 Apache Scout half at a time, and my 1988 Hydrostream Venus half at a time and they came out pretty nice. Check the pix.
Everything else I have is painted. Looking for a guinea pig, and before I get bombarded, I know the "you can come and do my boat for free" cracks are coming!
PM me and we'll work on getting you started. I have 2 grades right now- an aggressive one and softer cut, no final wax, and working on a super soft cleaning/color cut.
Oh crap, I can't post attachments?
