talked to my buddy in Tupelo, tornado came through the neigborhood. blew out all the windows, part of the roof and knocked some holes in the walls but it is still standing, their car is totaled, his truck is under a big tree so until they can cut it out he doesnt know the damage. they were lucky and grabbed the cat and dog and made it down the street to the church basement in time. some of the houses around them are completely gone so they feel lucky.

The Salvation Army has disaster response teams and mobile feeding units that are prepared to provide immediate care, food and water. The Salvation Army has launched a specific tornado relief fund. You can also donate $10 by texting STORM to 80888, or by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769).

Consider donating to @ArkRedCross with "redcross" to 90999; or Salvation Army, text "storm" to 80888 #arwx #Arkansas

Live in Madison, Ms heard sirens go off and was looking out my front door and all of sudden saw the debris cloud 100 yards from me. Told my wife to come look and she lost it, grabbed the dog, started yelling for me to come to the safe room, and stop staring at the tornado. We lost power and it was all over in 10 mins except for the rain. Power was out till next day so we ended up staying on our boat because we had A/C, bed, tv, internet, and a microwave to heat food. No real damage to report on our property but 2 blocks down it looks like a war zone. Thanks for concern.

glad to hear you are OK. scary how a tornado can obliterate on side of the street and leave the other intact. I always tell people, 'it does'nt matter how tough you think you are, mother nature always wins'
