Default 1984 Scarab 340 help

New to the forum and am looking for information about a 84 340. I posted in the scarab section but have got no response as of yet. I am looking for any info about the boat like original specs, options, manuals, what to expect, what to look for, anything really. The person I got it from didn't know very much about it at all and I have yet to get in touch with the owner before him. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's not easy finding info on the older Scarabs. Check Wellcrafts product info section http://www.wellcraft.com/resources/information
It may list some specs or maybe you can find something close. 34 feet in 84 it may be a Scarab III. Posting pics might help. Good luck on a manual, I've been looking for one on my 89 Scarab 3 forever. All of the labels for the switches on the helm were faded off and there are still several switches that do nothing and I still have no idea what they originally were for. Luckily all the important ones worked and I was able to figure them out.

Thanks for the ideas and the link. Taking the boat to get serviced before I put it in the water just to be safe. Thankfully the labels are not worn off on this one so hopefully it wont be as hard trying to figure it out. And as soon as I figure out how to post pics I will!!

Have fun with it and don't be afraid to get dirty trying to figure it out. I'm on my third season with my 89 Scarab lll and even though I can't compare it to any other "offshore" boat I love this thing.
