I just replaced my shifter cable on my Bravo 3. I am looking fro the shift cable tool either Sierra or Mercuiser and they are special order.

Is this tool really needed or is there another way of adjusting this.

It seems like 1 tool is a 1/4 piece of metal on the drive ( which is not problem to get) and the other needs a specified length. Does anyone know this length?
