Default IMCO SC drives w/-3 lowers

Ran these for two seasons on my 35 Fountain...they were mechanically sound and working perfectly when I took them off the boat prior to selling it. Since then, they have languished on a skid in Obnoxus' shop, until I finally got around to picking them up and cleaning them off last weekend. Cosmetically, they are about a 7...stickers are peeling off and there's a little bit of marring in the paint typical to standard usage of drives. Billet top cap, built in drive shower, heavy duty upper case, and -3 IMCO lower. 1.25" shaft. New, these sell for $11,500 each, I'm looking for $11,500 for the pair, plus shipping. Located in Chicago, will deliver/meet up at reasonable distance. PM me here, or drop me an email: mike(at)diagrind.com.

Did you pick up any speed using the 3inch lowers. And what year 35 were they on?

1995 35...first year of single step. Can't quantify speed gain due to the fact that I put bigger motors in the boat at the same time...

Please excuse my stupidity but I'm still rather a novice.
How do these rate on input power against SCX or B-max drives or are they more like a regular B1 or XR replacements.
Thanks,
Kelly

SCs seem to be more of a replacement for XRs...probably best rated to about 600 hp (conservatively). Basically, they are XR gearsets in a much heavier gearcase. They are HEAVY.

I would really like to keep them together...but if you can find somebody else that wants one, I'd separate.
