I have read several articles, and have heard both, I have a 500hp in a 29outlaw. I have a K&N flame arrestor, would going with the 500HP arrestor help, or make no difference. Also where would I find one if they are better to run. Thanks!

Might be safer, while adjusting my carb with a K&N on it, the motor belched and the flame shot out of the supposed arrestor. Not sure how K&N got Coast Guard certification but the K&Ns are getting changed out.

and you think the screen only factory one will stop that as well...still would do the same thing...the deal is there is nothing to catch fire like a paper filter..
