Default Lake Powell

Never been there but going last part of June. Where is the best place to be on the lake
Also a reasonable place to stay off the lake? Could be in a city close like Page for example. Thank you
Any other things I should about the lake?

We enjoy staying at the hotel at Wahweap marina. Then we take off from there for the day in the boat. There is a decent hotel in page if you want to save some money. If you are staying on a houseboat, find a place near dangling rope to park it. All of the areas around dangling rope are nice. You definitely need to set aside a day to explore Escalante Canyon. Other things to see, rainbow bridge, San Juan river, cathedral canyon and driftwood canyon.

The nice thing about Wahweep hotel is you can rent a slip at the marina and keep the boat on the water at night. Makes sunset cruises way easier. I guess you could get a slip even if you stay in Page.

I prefer the south end of the lake over bullfrog.

Staying seven days bc of the distance and the beauty. Yes I will post some pics when we get home or while we r down there. There's supposed to be wifi at the motel. From all the pictures I have seen on line the lake looks like one of the wonders of the world. Lol
