Default 290 Enticer Power Supply Question

Good Sunday Morning!

I'm hoping for some help here, longtime lurker - first time poster....

My 91 or 93 (not sure?) PQ 290 Enticer which I love, does not want to play the sound out of the stereo deck or the TV on DC power - the head unit of the stereo lights up, but no sound.

Everything works fine on AC power.

I cannot locate 2 components - the Power Inverter or the stereo AMP (if there is one)

I have tested all the batteries, everything tests out fine.

I can get the stereo to work for moments, after the boat has been running - but it's literally like the invertor is bad.

Can anyone comment back to me? My OCD is not allowing me to walk away from this on this day. lol

i found a thread where it talks about running a ground from behind the rocker switches to the neg side of the battery - i'll try that i guess, see what happens.

This is somewhat outside my area of expertise, but given that the head unit is essentially an automotive stereo isn't it *always* on DC power? If it works on shorepower, I would assume the inverter is working just fine: Shorepower (AC) -> inverter -> DC feed to the stereo.

If the unit is not working directly from the battery, that sounds like a different issue.

P.S. you might try posting this in the technical section, might get more looks there.

Well I got it figured out.

Basically I grounded all the batteries together - it's really that simple....

Of course I got bored after that, and installed new speakers, subwoofers and amps as well as a new head unit..... lol - thanks,,,
