1075's Re-build
I was able to get 185 hours from my 1075's until I lost a belt on one of the engines. The belt took out the timing chain, a couple valves and timing chain. I am thinking it may just be the right time to just to the re-build on them both before I really have a major problem. I baby the engines and only have 4 hours on them over 5,400 rpm. I am getting a lot of different stories on engine builders changing some of the original Mercury parts and doing upgrades. I have found two companies that seems to have a great reputation with the re-builds but one of them will have me down for 3 months and would hate to miss the summer. Does anyone have any input?

I think Mark Boos at Precision Marine is the resident 1075 Guru. At least the few 1075 guys I know here think so.

I think I saw them getting shipped out. Jason V at Brand X told me about the cross-country work order. Quality is worth it.
