If it's UPS, that's close. From me (i'm in North East)shipping to CA is cheaper than neighboring states. You figure. From me to you 4lbs, probably $18 or so. I ship stuff daily.
Could always call BAM and see if will ship USPS Flat Rate box. Never hurts to ask.

have him ship them media mail thru the post office. I am marine dealer also and ship all of our manuals this way. My last shipment was around 20 to 25 lbs of service manuals from TX to NC for 12 bucks.
