Default Insurance Suggestion

Hello fellow Sunny owners. Just found out today that State Farm will not insure my 06 Sunny with twin small blocks. Any suggestions for a reputable insurance company??

I'd find a different agent. I had the same issue years ago when I was looking at a sonic and our previous agent said they couldn't insure it. Crazy thing was the boat I was looking at was already insured by state farm with the seller. Many agents like to "cherry pick" what they will and won't write business on.

Good luck..

Funny thing is my agent accepted the policy and I made my one year payment. I was insured for approximately one month. Now I received a letter stating I have until June 30th and then I will be dropped.

Have you spoke to your agent about the letter? I recently just had a similar scenario on one of my snowmobiles that had been insured since last fall and after calling agent he said that they needed the VIN off the sled as it was missing off the policy and and State Farm automatically sends out a cancellation notice until the missing info is provided.

I would double check with your agent what the deal is. I know of 39 cigs with 700's that are through statefarm so yours should be a piece of cake. One thing about State Farm is they don't have very high liability amounts on boats so make sure you have a decent liability umbrella of at least a million or better.

They should since it is under the 750 HP total limit listed by many big box insurance companies. My boat was insured with Progressive in S. Florida the whole time I had it.

Underwriting bounced it. Talk to your agent. Where do you live/boat?
