Default quick rigging question

When u screw in cable fasteners do you put caulking in the hole prior to putting in the screw? Or is that too OCD?

I dip the screw in 5200, seems like 95% of the screws I've pulled out of boats had nothing though.

Most boats that have rot are a result of something that was not sealed properly...Sealing every screw hole is not overkill, it is what is right .........in a boat

To me,,, 5200 IS overkill on most fasteners .I may want to get it back apart one day

5200 is great for sealing but it does stick FOREVER.

42 or 52 in screw holes seals good and holds the screw well, yet they can be pulled back out easy enough. now if you put the stuff on a mating surface well..... it's stuck for life and ruining both pieces when you get it apart lol
