Default 98 power quest 38ft

i have been looking at a bank owned 1998 power quest in tulsa that came from out of state. it is not a stepped hull . it has 600's in it. its a 38 ft at Ugly johns boat sells, i was told they are ready to deal . is any problems with this year or what bad to look for

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Others know more than I and can go into more detail, but there were some issues with the strakes I believe. Several owners sent them back to PQ to have corrected and if you do some research, you can find pictures of the before and after. I would try and fins out if this mod has been done.

I believe that the bottom issue only pertains to the step hulls

That boats been for for sale as a repo several times or just been for sale forever. Love the 600/#5 setup

saying it has little over 300hrs asking 49000.
with no step hull whats the speed

Why do they have a 2x4 holding up the hatch in the pics? You can also see that 2x4 on the floor in the interior picture. Just me but I wouldn't buy a boat from somebody that does that for pictures. Must be some issues with that boat?

Strake issue was only on early stepped hulls. I would guess mid-70's for speed with the 600's.

Serious setup. 600 sc blower motors, looks like Xr drives with shorty lowers, and cleavers pushing it! All the un-knowns on the engines and drives.......could be a great deal or and expensive investment. As fare as the 2x4, batteries could be dead, so no hatch motor worky, but bad idea for taking pictures on a boat your trying to sell.
