Default 12V DC Air Conditioner - Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm toying with the idea of adding one of the Cruise N Comfort DC Air conditioning systems in my Formula 303. I know all the particulars but was curious if anyone has any experience with them?
We don't stay the night on the boat but I'm mostly concerned about battery life?

those systems are still 115v...they use an inverter to run off the batts to supply the system...so you need to supply the proper sized batts for how ever long you want the system to run on its own.

I ran my dometic 5000btu a/c on one group 31 battery using an inverter. With a fully charged battery the a/c ran for 2 hours before the inverter kicked off do to low voltage. The inverter shut down when the battery hit 11.5 volts. The battery started the engine right up afterwards with out any issue. The inverter is suppose to shut down at 10.8v I believe. That should get another 1/2 hour of run time
