Quick question just to be sure, does a tall deck chevy big block use the same timing chain as a standard deck big block?

Yes, as long as the block has not been align-bored. If that is the case, you may need to get a shorter timing chain. The tall deck block will require a different intake manifold. Possibly distributor too, but someone that has done one of these would have to comment on that.

Tall deck does require a different dizzy.

Doesn't require a different distributor if you get the right intake... But I have them machined for a slip collar so the oil galley to the lifters on the right side of the motor lines up better...

Thanks for the reply. These are current motors I have and am taking out the gear drives and going back to chain. Yes the intakes are different.
