I love it when people call a 4 cylinder boat a speed boat. I see it a lot on craigslist.

What do you think or has any body try converting to E85 on their boat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp7lWLgnTjs There was a big deal made about Mercury Marine and E15 fuel. Matt Trulio did a write up and got a lot of response. I my self have been using pump gas which is E10 for past 10 years with no problem. I now in near future going to convert my boat to running on E85. Right now I am running 5 gallon of E85 to 15 gallon of 93 octane with good results. As a drag racer I use Methanol with very big gains. Ethanol is some what of a different type of fuel. Looking on summit racing 850 Methanol carb use .150 jets everything much bigger. I used 3 gallon of Methanol per 1/4 mile pass. The difference was racing fuel 1.60 short times, 5500 rpm top end through the traps running 456 gears. I changed nothing but fuel system 60 foot drop to 1.30 , top end trap 6800 drop 1 second off et. Now look at E85 850 carb vs 850 gas carb jetting are same , air bleeds are the same only difference is meter plates. Yes I know I will be using more fuel but what I am seeing now is close, I have more power coming out of the hole, seem to run better, draw back is not leaving it sit. E85 will draw moisture but using every week I have not seen any problem.

What does your post have to do with some brothers moving Yao from a boat?

May we assume that he must have consumed much of the said Yao before rambling on about adventures with methanol and converting his boat to E85.
