I have a HP500C and would like to obtain the mercury service manual. The parts fiche doesn't list a service and support material page - does anyone know the correct merc part number for the service manual? The block is a Gen V (from the 14096859 casting code). I have not been able to locate the engine SN yet.

Merc racing if HP 500 carb then manual 3 - if HP 500 EFI is manual 6. I have a spare # 3, I would sell it, 60 bucks to your door. Probably would not get there before the 4 th. unless u wanted to pay for overnite shipping.

The manual listed in Griffs link points mo to 90-8232242 (manual #16 - 454-502 1993-1997) - it looks like a standard mercruiser manual.

BUP, is the #3 manual you have specific to the mercury racing engine?

You have to click o the Hi Perf Engine section at the top

500HP carbed is Manual HP3
500EFI is Manual HP6

Mercury Racing manuals for all blue motors. Do you have a carb or the HP 500 EFI motor. That will dictate which manual. I believe you have the carb version. So manual 3 from Mercury Racing. Also got your PM. THX.
