I live in NC and just found what could be a great deal on a boat through a friend of a friend; problem is that it's 10hrs from me. I would hate to get up there to find out the guy was lying to me and that it's a turd. If there is anybody near NYC that could check it out real quick for me that would be great,
My main concern is that the transom and stringers don't appear to be rotten and that the motors actually run decent without knocking or smoking. It's an older boat that needs cosmetic work and i'm fine with that i just don't want to get up there and discover that it needs the motors redone and a bunch of work the seller didn't tell me.
