Philly / delaware river

Decent amount of boats out this weekend. Anchored up in the Tully cove for a few hours, did lunch and hung out with friends. A thought came to mind while I was there. I see different groups of people rafting up with friends, exactly like we where doing but several nice boats pulled in, I guess looking to see if any of their friends where there then pulled out after a few moments. I was wondering why they never pull up and introduce themselves to another group of boaters? So I'm putting this out there, If anyone sees my boat there, the RED CAT, there is an open invitation to come along side and introduce yourself, raft up and relax. I have met a few great people and fellow boaters who have become friends. We take several trips down the Chez Bay a year, so if theres any interest, WELCOME!
PS, on another note. Just as we pulled our boat out around 3:30-4 there was a big HP red/yellow/white cat who ran up past neshaminy ramp then 20 or so mins later he ran back down river. Seen him just above the Tacony Br. as I was dropping the boat in the yard. Anyone know who this boat belongs to?

I used to think the same thing. When we used to boat on the delaware before we packed up and took the boat to the shore. We used to be one of the first boats in Tullytown on weekends. We would see the same boats pretty much every weekend come in a anchor. We always would acknowledged each other, but in my 3 years on river I can count on 1 hand how many times someone said "hey, mind if we tie up along side". I was always one of the ones to wave someone over too, but only to be declined. Enjoyed my time on the river, but was definately one of the contributing factors in my decision to head to the coast. We now raft up pretty much every weekend, generally the same group but always welcoming to outsiders or fellow OSO'ers.
If every your in the Barnegat Bay area, drop me a line. I'm always out.

Next time you are running to the Chez Inn and you have some boats going hit me with a text 856-371-2184. We used to go all the time but times are changing, it's hard to get people together now. It's one of those been there done that things. Have only run down once this year. Usually try to go down September and October it easier to get some boats together that time of year. We have done as many as thirty boats in the past. We just make sure it's a day when Andy can hook us up with enough slips. (Sam)

I never run the river down to there. Nothing to see or do the whole way and the fuel I'd burn would make it a very expensive day. We trailer down to northeast marina and put in there then hit the bay. going down tomorrow as a matter o fact for the Rock the bay Poker Run. We're not doing the run but hang out in the bay, then run down to jellies for the afternoon. Might run to the Inn on Sunday which is supposed to be the better day?
