Default Options on removing silent thunder

So my 99 271 still has the silent thunder, no captains choice. Looking to ditch it all together as it is cracked up pretty bad and all the brackets at broken. But my wifey says she doesn't want a "loud" boat. Ideally I would like to go a straight thru system with the captains choice, but I'm not about to pull the motor to add the Y pipe, so that is out. What options are there for a switchable exhaust tips? I'm thinking that might be the best option to keep everyone happy.

My first powerboat was a 98 312 w/ twin 502's. My wife too did not want me to remove the silent thunder box so over the winter I did it anyway. We had been boating 2-3 months when I asked her how much louder the boat was.......she had never noticed. With the sound exiting under the platform and her in the boat it really won't seem much different. Just wait til winter so there's no memory of what it sounded like "last week".

LOL so in all of my infinite wisdom (or stupidity, will have to see how this plays out) I ditched the box yesterday while the wife was at work. Will see if she notices here in a day or so.

When I had my 271 I removed the ST box and put flappers on. Like Russ said, in the boat hardly any difference.
