Default Formula 370/400SS - in market - wondering about updates/options

Hi Everyone,

Lots of great info on this thread. In the market looking at 370/400ss. In an ideal situation I would like a hardtop, with extended platform, and diesels, but this isn't in the budget with our first youngster on the way.

Looking for a used 370ss/400ss, thinking about 496HO's, something reliable. Top end isn't a concern for us, want something to cruise between 25mph and 35 mph. Primary use is St Lawrence/Lake Ontario cursing at 10-15 knots for 95% of the time. Towing our seadoo at low speeds when heading out for a day.

A few questions:

If I get a boat with a radar arch, is there a way to add a hardtop? Does anyone make one?
Extended platform - is there an aftermarket option to add onto a boat - want to have extra room with the kids and friends when at anchor.

Bracket to add flatscreen tv to radar arch

-Is a bow thruster required with stern drives?

What sort of fuel consumption can I expect with 496's.

What other options/features should I be looking for/considering?

How comfortable are these boats in foul weather with full enclosure?

Thanks in advance, looking forwards to all comments!

Yes there are options for an extended swim platform, both from aftermarket and directly from Formula. But expect to spend thousands from Formula.
