correct info from above and will add the inner transom mount make sure you have the correct set up upon reassembly , example fiber washer, and spring plus the bolts with washer and spacer as you can look up your correct assembly by serial #. . I have seen people not install the spring and it has knocked the engine coupler out in short order even after they thought the engine was in perfect alignment. Anyways what ever this info is worth hopes it helps.

Well I am not following this.If I adjust the front montoer mount I would be changing the angle of the crankshaft in comparisdon the the drive. Amnd I dont think i would want to change the angle? Correct? What the concern is is the Bellhosings are never exactly the sam from block to block. I am using the same crank and everything that was in it. Just a new block. Does anyone follow me? Do I need to change the angle for some rerason. I though I just need to make sure the clutch is centereed in the gimbal

yes you raise or lower the bottom nut and adjust the crankshaft angle using the alignment tool,,,,,,make sure you take weight off the motor when you make adjustments or you take the chance of ruining the mount,,,,,, you should be able to slide the tool in and pull it out with 2 fingers when perfectly aligned.
Another tip,,,,,sometimes the gimbal bearing will pivot when pulling the drive before engine removal and when you try inserting the tool it gives the impression of misalignment,,,,,, if the tool does not catch the coupler when you try and insert it try lifting or pushing up and down on the tool feeling for the coupler hole while your sliding it in.
My guess is it if was not off before,,,, it will not be off now
