Default VDO to Hardin Marine Gauges

Do I need to change the senders in order for the Hardin Marine gauges or for Autometer to work? Original VDO gauges in the FASTech and still original senders.

What would be a good fuel sender replacement for the original and work with the Hardin Marine?

Best replacement 3 wire alternator for the NA HP 500?

Thanks in advance for info!!

97FT, I am hunting for gauges too. As you have been doing your research, have you looked into Livorsi gauges as well? I am more concerned about internal qualities than color options. I called the Livorsi people the other day and spoke with a guy named "Marty" (I think that was his name). He told me they make everything "in house". I asked him about the fogging issues they had in previous years and he said it has been corrected. I also called the Auto Meter people as well, and they said their electronic "marine" gauges are within .5% of accuracy tolerances of sorts. I am wondering if the Levorsi stuff has the same kind/type of accuracy tolerances as well. Probably splitting hairs at that point, but it would still be nice to know.

Do you know if Hardin Marine manufactures their own gauges? Thanks for any info you can share as well.

For some reason I think I remember reading on here they don't make their own gauges, not sure. However I think I'm looking at Autometer more heavily now, really like the carbon fiber looking ones. They just don't have an hour meter to match. The tach doesn't come with the hour meter.

You can always put the hour meter in a different spot where it is kinda outta sight. It's not like you have keep your eye on it all the time as with some of the other more important gauges.
