Default 3 Tires less then 200 miles, No joke....

Yep, same guy with the bearing issues, but this time tires. Was headed up to Boyne for the poker run last weekend and had 3 blowouts in less then 200 miles, 2 with in 50 miles of my house. I had one spare and after each blowout I went and had the spare replaced. After the third one I parked the truck and trailer, called it the night got a hotel room and the next morning dragged it to the nearest open tire center on a Sunday and replaced them all. Made it the rest of the distance with out any problems and even made it back home the 420 mile trip without any problems. Lesson learned if it sat, replace it. I learned the hard way and I know a lot of people told me to replace everything right off the bat and there were right. Hopefully I am done with trailer issues. I think I'm going to remove the carpet and check for termite damage cause with my luck who knows...

Oh and after having the HPF problem with my AC I replaced the switch and it worked fine for a few days. It's back to the same problem, won't even turn on it just flashes HPF instantly.

Hey buddy. As long as the date of manufacturing is less than 5 years or so you should be good. There is a date code molded. I just by take off tires with lots of miles for my trailer. There is not much tread but they are not so old the fly apart. I never have been able to wear all the tread off of trailer tires before. Hops this helps everybody save money on tires !

That's good advice and your right, there was plenty of tread left on these tires. Only issue here is the sat the majority of there life, and were most likely over 5 years old. If i was home I probably could find used tires to do the job. The old tires were load range D and I up'd to load range E LT tires. These should be good for awhile. At least as long as I plan on trailering the boat.

In March I had to make a trip to California to pick up a new project. Before I left
I bought 4 new tires just to be safe. I got to Hesperia and found this

About 1500 miles on it

Wow... I would just invest in a full new trailer with a warranty, road side assistance, maybe something to provide aerial support. Good luck in the future!

Just curious... What size tire and rim do you run? Wonder if you may be over loading the axles/wheels

dont buy trailer tires, buy LT tires and put metal valve stems in. That has been a foolproof solution for me and several of my racing buddies

Nothing wrong with trailer tires. Just like everything else, don't buy junk. I've got eight Goodyear 614s that have always carried beyond their rated capacity and they've got over 30,000 miles on them, patched a nail hole in one of them but that's the only problem I've had. Under inflation is what does most trailer tires in.
