Glassdave "COLORPRO" and XTINOVATIONS experience
#1
Hi all,
Just wanted to leave a review and story on my experience with Colorpro and XTInovations. First off, even though they are separate shops, Dave at Colorpro can basically take your boat through interior, stereo etc without disruption.
Here's a little background. I bought a stock, unmolested 99' Top gun last april sight unseen. I live in Southern CA and I bought the boat online from a broker in FL. I wanted paint and interior redone......lol if only it was that easy. After talking to numerous people and getting prices I never really felt confident the people I talked to could do what I wanted without much of my input. I found Glassdave on here and he did a bid to paint it, add his dash caps, TS style hatch and windshield. He also set up to work with XT to do a custom interior for me that included fiberglass seat shells. I had the boat shipped to Dave in Ohio from FL. Here is a run down of what was done by Dave, his connections and XTInnovations.
Complete strip and paint job all chips or damage repaired
Removed all snaps, rails etc.
All new caps and metal hardware, bowrail, flush LED Nav lighting
New Style Windshield
new style hatch with mirrors in engine bay
New Cockpit dash caps
New Livorsi Cigarette logo'd Gauges, complete rewire, Garmin GPS like newer style Cigs
LED lighting
New Powdercoated metal parts
JL Marine audio system same as new style Cigs
Entire cockpit redesign to mimic the 98 mph Cig Top Gun 38 all done by XTinnovations with coordination of Dave at Colorpro. (this was quite an undertaking as pretty much everything original was thrown away and XT rebuilt everything. Took multiple tries to get it right and they nailed it. It looks insane and its super functional and comfortable.
Complete new Cabin interior by XTinnovations
Keep in mind all of this was done without me ever seeing the boat in person before or while they were working on it. So you can Imagine how much I bugged them about updates.............A year later boat was delivered to me and its just amazing. I started all this in April 2013 and I would be lying if I didn't say there were times when I wasn't even sure if the boat was real. LOL
I will add some photos in the future I don't live in the same state where the boat is stored and when It arrived I was too busy looking it all over in awwwwh....... so I will be seeing it later this week and take some photos to post.
If anyone is looking for top quality work you wont be disappointed with Dave's work, any of the vendors he uses for the extras, or XT Innovations for Interior.

Cool deal definitely want to see pics of this ride. Only talked to Dave a couple times on some paint tips and some questions I had on my boat and he seems like a stand-up and nice guy as well as seriously knows his stuff. Good to hear a good review now days.
