Default Any A/C techs on Long Island?

Can anyone recommend an A/C tech to check out my 5000btu Dometic marine A/C? Boat is on trailer so can be brought almost any where. A/C can also be removed from boat. Unit works but cycles on/off about every minute. Low Freon (417A) or high pressure switch????

Thanks for any help

Does it have a low pressure cut off switch? If it does, bypass it with a jumper and see if it stays running. Short cycling is usually low refrigerant, at least on 99.975% of automotive applications.

Thank you for the reply. I'm pretty sure the unit is low on refrigerant. The unit hasn't been used in about 2 years. I'm trying to find someone with some 417a refrigerant. If I buy a tank the smallest they sell is 25lbs and it's about $400. The unit only holds 8ozs empty lol. The quest continues lol
