Default hope everybody got out of St Clair ok.......

left St clair about a 1/2 hour after the end of the last race. A couple miles down 94 and it was raining like hell. lightning hitting billboards on the side of the road, looked like a tornado went thru, pieces of trees all over the road, around 94 and 696 we started hitting underpasses with a couple feet of water. Looked like a hurricane,,,,,,,

That's normal weather in these parts......... No joking, we get crazy storms between StClair and Monroe.. We got stuck out in a storm much stronger than the ones today last Tuesday at about 1:45 am out on Lake Erie (just north of Monroe). We were approaching the last leg of our 6 hr trip back from PIB (a blown drive and a tow from a tow boat us boat that itself kept breaking down). We had lightning so strong, for a period of time is was constantly brighter than the day out there.

On our way back to Windsor, about the same time as yourself, I couldn't believe the idoits who were flooring it through the water under the under passes and made it.

Brad!

Sounds like an experience that you hope you never have to experience again.

----I live about 9 miles south of St. Clair on the river and we got home in light rain. A bit after that though we had a real strong couple of minutes of wind and rain and that was it!..........Bill S

Thumbs up

Our ride back in the motor home following Gary's cat down I-94 was white knuckle for a bit before heading west on M-59 although driving Ryan's Skater was more fun We got home to Cass Lake in Oakland County and it was a complete mess. Trees down everywhere, on and off the road, Power and Traffic lights out.

We ended up staying in the coach overnight after pulling the tress off the driveway onto the yard with the golf cart. Somehow the top 40 feet of 'what was' an 80 foot Maple missed our boats and lifts blocking the canal. We spent all day Monday cleaning up the 'disaster'. Power is still out. Generator screaming away. It was a weekend to remember for sure.... Bill
