Default Using a suck bottle to change tranny fluid

I fixed the leaks in my trany 700r4 that I use to tow my boat. A few of the screws that hold on the pan on the drive shaft side were x threaded and the tv seal was bad.

What would be wrong with using my suck bottle that I use to change my boat motor oil to change the oil in my tranny.

Thanks

That would be fine. But the other reason to change your trans. oil is to replace the filter as well. At least if you sucked the fluid out first, you wouldn't have to take a bath in trans fluid when you drop the pan.

For one of my trucks my bro drilled a hole in my pan and then welded a drain plug on it. It worked real well. With that truck it just seemed to be impossible to get the pan down with out the ATF spilling everywere. HOWEVER you still need to change the filter as has already been said so........
