Default KAMMA drives on a 27 Sport

I may be able to get a great deal on a set of Kamma drives with power that I could put in my 27 sport.
Has anybody had experience with these drives on this type of hull?
It would be set up as a side by side configuration.
Thanks Rick G.

I had KAAMA drive on my Active cat back in 1995, even back then some of the drive parts were hard to come by. I never had a problem with them but that was almost 20 years ago, I did liked them on a cat hull. Formula used them on there 30' boats witch is close to a Magnum hull so it can be done but @ what cost ???? Klem made some of his Magnum knockoffs with a Arneson drives but I dont believe he ever rally developed that set up. I would stay with a tried & true outdrive set up unless you got the drives @ a great price....

Talk to one of the owners of Hale Propellers in CT. He was working on Magnum 27 with surface drives, no idea how far along his project has gone. They were the prop shop used by George Desmond to develop Mighty Mouse the 126 mph Donzi X-18.

There is also an active member of the Donzi.net board who had a Kaama drive Formula as mentioned above . . .
