Default Subwoofer recommendation for a boat in salty Cartagena's Caribbean!!!!!!!!

Hello all!
I'm currently in the process of changing the audio setup of my boat and would like to improve the sound quality and volume this time, thus I'm making some research and some asking-around...
Brands and/or models very welcome!!!
Thanks!

JL AUDIO seems to be the brand of choice around here. I know their subs work very well.

i drove past a jl dealer in cartagena a few months ago but didn't stop in. you may find that they stock very few amps etc. your best bet is to buy your equipment in the states and have a freight forwarding company get it to you in cart. i make a make receipt and write warranty repair of some type of repair and ship it with my parts so i dont get killed on duty taxes in colombia

If money is no object, JL Audio. If you don't shart gold doubloons, Rockford Fosgate or MTX.
