Default OT - Might be time to sell my 2000 Pontiac Formula. What to get?

Well folks...

Looks like it may be time to move on up to something a little more "classy" to drive. Trouble though is that I cannot keep the Formula (still paying it off) and have another new one to pay for (still paying for our truck as well and times are getting lean).

So... what to do?

I love driving the Formula but all to often it comes to be rather inconvenient and with little ones coming soon (hopefully) I'd need two extra doors as well. This particular Formula seems to have a bullseye on it as well since it seems to attract fender benders (not my fault) and scratches, etc. Again, driving the Formula is something that I love to do and I also love looking at it. With that said I need something sporty and powerful (V8 or super strong 6 cylinder) and it can't be in the stratosphere as far as price is concerned (I'd love an M5 or even a normal 540 for that matter but I can't quite afford 'em). I've been looking at cars on the internet, but so far nothing has really peaked my interest up. Most cars seem, well, rather boring to me in comparison to the Formula.

Cars I've considered so far:

Acura 3.2 TL Type-S
BMW 530i
BMW 740i or iL (off lease, used... quite affordable and man are they nice, 540s are more expensive used, btw)
Caddy Deville DTS
Caddy STS
Infinity Q45 (new design... expensive though and might look at older models)
Jag S-Type
Lexus GS400/430
Lincoln LS Sport V8

Any opinions or suggestions?

I've always liked the 740 IL. It would be my first choice on the list We have a couple neighbors that have the Lincoln LS and they both like them quite well and haven't had any probs

'02 Ford F150 Harley Davidson truck. Still few left. 4 doors, leather, lowered, supercharged intercooled 5.4L engine. Check the insurance of all those cars on your list and then check it on the truck.
The Jag and MB C and E class are my favorite sedans.

I put a 3rd on the Acura Type-S. Great interior, engine runs real strong and the handling is nice also. One of those cars where you can actually feel/hear what is going on. (although if price is not a "major factor" the Bimmer is an excellent car). Just make sure if you take one off lease that the brakes and rotors (both) have been changed out.

Good luck.....Bob

I gotta go with the Acura Type S. My little sister just picked one up, what a nice car. I didnt even know what it was until she brought it home. Rides very nice, handles alot better than her 3 series, and the interior is real nice. The nav system is a very nice option as well.
