Switching a stock Bravo 1 from early 90s to an XR. What exactly do I need to do this. New bearing, etc? Larger prop shaft I hear.
Thanks

You dont need anything besides the installation gasket kit (which is the same as your current drive). Ofcourse you could do other maitnence while you there. And yes the XR has 1.25 propshaft. So you would ethier need a different hub kit or different prop depending on what you currently have

It should have the correct gimble bearing to begin with. I believe some of the early modeled bravo's had different gimble bearings. However I would replace it ethier way while you are at it. the one you will need is 879194A01 Someone please correct me if I am wrong

You will have to change the gimble bearing if it's the original for 96 or old style. I did an XZ swap on my 99 and it had the original bearing which is too thick for the bigger u joints. Also you need to put the trim limiter spacers in the rams.
