The story of Grayson Kirby, Virginia boater; tragic accident, nearly gone & BACK.

Grayson is a friend of thousands here in the Mid-Atlantic area. If you met him once, you will NEVER forget him.
He had sold his 29' Fountain some time back, and was negotiating the purchase of a Cigarette Top Gun when tragedy struck.
He was thrown from a car in a freak accident at a Truck & Tractor Pull in rural Virginia. The car was crossing a field, and rolled over, ejecting Grayson; and then rolling over him. He had massive trauma from head to toe, literally, and was given a 5% chance of survival, period; and that was IF his brain was going to be OK.
Long story short: 9+ weeks later; he's likely going home on Friday. He still has a long row to hoe on his recovery, but he's already past halfway on the field. He will be returning home shortly to his family farm, which will accelerate his recovery with his family even more so.
There is a Facebook Page: GWKStrong, with nearly 9000 supporters, around the globe; who have bonded together and prayed for Grayson, as well as held numerous fundraisers and for him, his family, and medical bills. There is not a day I leave the house without seeing a GWKStrong T-shirt; and we even had "limited edition" GWKStrong neon shirts made for the 2014 Jammin' on the James Poker Run. The 2014 Norfolk Poker Run for a Cure raised almost $6K for GWKStrong in a matter of 10 minutes or so with a pass the hat, and folks donating their winnings to GWKStrong.
The teams of doctors literally have no medical explanation for why Grayson is where he is. On a scale of 1-3, 3 being worst, his brain trauma was a 3. His doctors told his parents a couple days after the accident, when they could first do an MRI of his brain, that it may be 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, if ever that he wakes up. 20 hours later, he opened his eyes, and told his Father that he loved him.
The only thing that appears to have made it so is the power of prayer and support. It truly is a miraculous story.
