Default Cowes Classic Offshore Powerboat Race 2014

Cowes Classic Offshore Powerboat Race 2014 takes place on Sunday August 31 from Cowes on the Isle of Wight. OSO members Jeff Hall & Christian Toll once again are racing in the Classic Dry Martini Cigarette. The Cowes Classic 2014 Offshore Powerboat Race is due to start off Egypt Point in Cowes this year for the first time in 10 years. Recognised as one of powerboating’s toughest challenges, the 210-mile classic has been taking place annually since 1961.

I imagine OSO's only Paul Buckner will be on hand watching from his pantera..... Sounds like a sweet race to catch...

A guy I knew owned that boat 30 some years ago.
He bought it from Carlo. It still looks the exact same.

In last years race Dry Martini finished 4th overall with a time of 2:41:03 , not bad for a 35 + year old Cig..

Hi Jack as much as I would love to be there watching I won't be there . As stated above its got to be one of the tuffest races in what can be very big seas 210 miles I think . Put some pictures up Jack of the boat all finished in the Pantera section . When you popin over ?
