We've lost another one too soon. RIP Carey Downs. :(

News is passing around that Carey Downs and Jeremie Floyd have passed in a boating accident in Tennessee.
Carey has always been one of the BEST guys in the go-fast boat business.
I don't know Jeremie, but all my thoughts, prayers and condolences to both of their families.
It appears to have been a bass boat collision with an unlit barge last night.

Carey was long time associated with the original Pier57 and David Woods. He has been a staple at every single major boating event/show/poker run for at least the past 10 years. He was working with Cigarette as well.

Frankie and Carey were the dynamic duo at pier 57 in counce tn. Just wonderful guys to talk with and laugh and in the meantime if you wanted to buy a boat or need service they would fit it in amongst the laughs and smiles. The sun is a little less brighter today.

Simply devastated by the news this morning. I can't express how much I enjoyed my time with Carey. He truly was an amazingly genuine person and always happy to help. I will not feel the same at any boat shows or poker runs knowing I can't spend even a few funny moments with my favorite wingman.
Carey and I on a chill SoFlo day running the 36 MTI.
